Meteor Showers - What | Where | When | Why!
Meteor showers are celestial events that are amazing to watch. When multiple meteors originate from a single point, they create a dazzling array of streaks across the sky and this 'is known as a meteor shower. Meteors are debris from heavenly bodies known as meteoroids or comets. They are very minute and usually disintegrate before they reach the Earth's surface.
The word meteor comes from the Greek word "meteoros" or high in the air. This comic activity can usually be observed more in the northern hemisphere than in the southern hemisphere.
